Thesis / PhD Prize 2024

Students and recent graduates typically possess a healthy dose of curiosity and optimism. The large amount of new knowledge they acquire in a short period often inspires them and is full of innovative ideas. This is often reflected in their research projects and thesis reports/articles.
To highlight the good work of these young scholars and encourage them to further develop, share, and realize their ideas, we award prizes to recently graduated bachelor's, master's, and PhD students who have conducted an innovative and impactful research project in the field of global health.
Have you written a bachelor's or master's thesis or a PhD dissertation on a global health theme, such as planetary health, health equity, global child health, or another topic? Send it to us (ofni.[antispam].@kcgh.nl) by October 1st for a chance to win one of the prizes!

  What prizes do we award?

To celebrate and promote the exceptional work of young scholars, KCGH awards the following prizes:

€500 to two recent bachelor’s or master’s graduates who have written an innovative and impactful thesis on a global health theme.

€1000 to a recent PhD graduate who has made significant contributions to new insights in global health, to be used for further professional development, such as continuing the work in their thesis, attending training, consulting experts, or supporting activities to obtain project funding.

€500 for the best master's or bachelor's thesis focused on a topic within Global Child Health, in collaboration with the Expertise Group Global Child Health.

  How can you participate?

All recent graduates and PhD candidates in the Netherlands, including the special municipalities of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Sint Maarten, who study or work in the field of global health, are invited to submit their thesis/dissertation to ofni.[antispam].@kcgh.nl by October 1, 2024.
